Description
ten months after infernal affairs was concluded by the murder of yan (tony leung), ming (andy lau) finds his career on the rocks and his marriage over. to rescue his career he begins a reckless clandestine investigation into his hotshot colleague yeung, whose meteoric rise mirrored his own prior of yan`s death. -oscillating between events prior to and after the first two films, infernal affairs iii delves even deeper into the complex, duplications relationships between the central characters. the film is a dizzying masterclass in characterisation and focuses on how a life of double-cross and triple-cross can disorientate even the sharpest of minds as ming starts to confuse his own identity with that of his former nemesis, the long-dead yan.
