Description
Ellen Brody lives in the island resort town of Amity with her sons Sean and Michael. Ellen’s husband died of a heart attack that happened because he was afraid of sharks. One night Sean is called out and killed by a great white shark. After hearing about this, Michael visits Amity with his family. Wanting to get away from there and spend Christmas with Michael, Ellen goes to their house in the Bahamas. Sometime later, while Michael is out at sea, the boat is attacked by the shark that killed Sean. The shark starts causing havoc everywhere and Ellen ends up believing that the shark is after her family. She takes the boat out to sea on a single-minded mission to find the shark and kill it.
